Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team to foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular audits to mitigate risks.
- Oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring efficiency and adherence to industry standards.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and control costs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and reduce costs.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Engage with the workforce to foster open communication and continuous learning.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, particularly in a food manufacturing or similar industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, including equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to food safety and manufacturing standards.
- Strong communication skills in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive organizational culture change.
- Previous experience in dairy manufacturing or a similar food production environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
- Experience with World-Class Manufacturing principles.
- Strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets for maintenance operations.
