Senior Project Manager - Delivery Lead

Location: Ideally MN with some Hybrid

Delivery Lead

Role Purpose:

Provide leadership and hands-on support for cross functional, internal & external technology delivery teams who have critical workstreams necessary to launch the company

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end product delivery through the entire lifecycle with a cross-functional team (internal & external) empowered to pursue the best solution to their customers' needs and problems.
• Work at a strategic level to understand the product roadmap in partnership with the Product Manager & other key product team roles to build a technology plan considering non-functional requirements, timelines, constraints, resourcing, and budget across legacy and modern technologies that make up the product ecosystem.
• Manage the relationship between technology leadership to facilitate & communicate any coaching or support needed for team members from functional managers.
• Collaborate & communicate across technology leadership, resource requests beyond the established dedicated team.
• Manage and coordinate vendor relationships required to deliver on the product vision.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the product teams' systems, processes, priorities, and technologies while representing these aspects to all levels of leadership. If these don't exist or are not effective, create new standards that create efficiencies and streamline delivery.
• Find and drive process improvements with the team for increasing efficiency of the delivery process and quality of deliverables to meet & exceed customer expectations.
• Establish appropriate metrics to help build, over time, a more consistent measure of delivery
• Guide teams to do their work in a way that minimizes key-person dependencies and knowledge silos.
• Oversight of delivery issues; seeking to engage the appropriate people who need to help resolve the issue as urgently as possible
• Responsible for establishing and driving efficient communication and collaboration path with other teams. Escalation points when impediments cause risk to delivery.
• Manage problem resolution, risk, and dependencies blocking the team from achieving desired solutions and facilitate timely action plans with the appropriate escalation points

Decision Making/Authority Level

• Oversight of production issues; seeking to engage the appropriate people who need to help resolve the issue as urgently as possible
• Responsible for establishing and driving efficient communication and collaboration path with other teams
• Escalation points when impediments cause risk to delivery

Minimum Requirements

• Product/Project Management experience (or leading initiatives on a technical level from design to delivery)
• Demonstrated technical solution design experience and execution (delivery) experience in a cloud-based environment
• Proven ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with different levels of audience from general user to senior executive

Critical Skills:

• Proven ability to hold teams accountable for achieving product goals
• Demonstrated Agile leadership experience, preferably in a Scrum environment.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
• Passion and experience for being a Coach/Mentor/Teacher to delivery teams and supporting functions.

Preferred Skills:

• Product development experience in a technical role
