Quannah Partners is seeking an Analyst to become the sixth employee and an integral member of its investment team. This new hire will play a diverse role covering multiple aspects of the business including acquisitions, developments, asset management, and investor relations. The position will be responsible for financial underwriting during each stage of an investment’s lifecycle and will work closely with an Associate, reporting directly to senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Evaluate four primary types of real estate opportunities (industrial, retail, multifamily, office) by analyzing market trends, industry research and supply/demand fundamentals

· Create and maintain complex financial models using MS Excel and ARGUS Enterprise to forecast leveraged cash flows, joint venture waterfalls, and financial return metrics for potential and existing investments.

· Help structure business plans, perform due diligence and produce well-organized investment memos.

· Support an investment team with asset management and reporting processes for investments by maintaining underwriting models, reviewing third-party financial reports, and creating internal analyses/valuations.

· Complete other tasks as needed to support investment management protocols, help optimize team performance and reduce investment risk.

Qualifications

· B.A., B.S., or M.S. in Finance, Real Estate, Economics or Mathematics, with demonstrated academic excellence from a credible four-year institution.

· 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within real estate, private equity or investment banking.

· Exceptionally strong quantitative, analytical and organization skills. Attention to detail is critically important.

· Must understand financial modeling (IRR, Multiple, NPV, Discount Rates, etc.)

· Exemplary computer skills, including MS Office with (advanced) proficiency in Excel and ARGUS Enterprise.

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work effectively both individually as well as part of a team (internal and external). Exceptional time management is necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment where the individual is required to manage multiple projects with varying responsibilities and levels of urgency and competing priorities.
