Bloomberg Businessweek is looking for a highly motivated photo editor to join our team for print, web and newsletters.
You will be responsible for producing high impact images for stories across all parts of the magazine- from front of book stories to features including web, newsletters, podcasts, and occasionally social video. You think intentionally-and internationally- to create content that serves readers where they are: phone and computer; apps and other web outlets. You will create and maintain an exciting visual voice - one to be emulated by peers and sought after by readers.

You are excited to be part of a team that works to be the industry standard in hiring a broad and diverse coalition of photographers and image makers and take care to make sure the images we run show diversity of gender, age, race, etc in a wide range of settings. You should have a broad interest in and deep curiosity about the world of business, finance and technology and strive to make strong visual assets that create reader excitement.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:
* Pitch, develop, research, commission and produce original visuals for stories for both print and web
* Obtain accurate caption and credit information
* Collaborate across the wider newsroom to create original content for vide, interactive web and OTT, and to supply assets for regularly scheduled shows.
* Discover and develop new talent and photo projects for potential publication
* Maintain BW Daily Newsletter and Elon Inc podcast art (weekly) and other new verticals as they come.
* Communicate estimated budget needs for all stories under your editorship, across all visual platforms including web only, social content, video, special issues and weekly magazine
* Be a point of quality control of all visuals for ones own stories including hiring of photographers and final representation in print and web, with oversight from the photo director.
* Strategize the '360 presentation' of stories including long form video, short form video, web, special presentations and still images for print and web
* Liaison with editors on timing, communicating when assets for stories may be available and timing on other representations of stories (ex special web builds, video)
* Work closely with web producers on timing on all stories and to create timelines and deadlines on web special builds
* Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment among team members
* Encourage and hold oneself and team accountable for diverse hiring of image makers and diverse representation within the pages of the magazine.

Salary Range = 80000 - 105000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
