Primary Responsibilities:
You will have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively and demonstrate active listening and respect for other's ideas, problems, and suggestions. Respects confidentiality and is HIPAA compliant in all aspects of communication regarding patients, employees and the organization. Utilizes C.L.E.A.R. and H.E.A.R.T

New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. - Perform comprehensive assessment and analysis for genetic risks
- Determine the need for and initiate diagnostic/ screening tests
- Identify and provide genetic counseling for individuals, couples and families with a family history of birth defects and/or genetic conditions

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
- Eligibility for the American Board of Genetic Counselors certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of genetic counseling
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Proven excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
