  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.

Software Engineer 2

Role Overview: We are seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join our Checkout & Wishlist Team. In this role, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and testing end-to-end features for our next-generation checkout platform. Your work will ensure that we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance our customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with local and partner teams to drive development initiatives.
  • Agile Development: Participate in and contribute to agile development and planning processes.
  • Code Development: Write maintainable and clear code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure, following secure coding practices.
  • Engineering Principles: Apply foundational engineering principles to address business needs effectively.
  • Module Design: Design interactions between modules and understand business metrics for the team.
  • Testing: Ensure code quality through comprehensive automated testing, including unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance issues, and optimize solutions and infrastructure.
  • Monitoring: Implement custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards to monitor and improve code performance.
  • Best Practices: Adhere to engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Code Reviews: Collaborate with peers on design decisions, best practices, and conduct code reviews.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing RESTful services and event-driven applications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in languages such as Go, Java, .Net, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
  • Cloud Expertise: Experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS, Fargate, Elastic Cache Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation) or similar cloud platforms.
  • Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux/Docker, open-source software development, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tools like New Relic and Splunk.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Passion: Enthusiasm for emerging technologies, operational excellence, and making a positive customer impact.
