Prioritized Must Have Skills For The Geotechnical Project Manager

#1. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in science or engineering (e.g., environmental engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geological engineering, geology, environmental science, earth science, or related field) is required.

#2. A minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent is required.

#3. EIT is required for this role.

#4. PE or PG preferred but not required.

Requirements For The Geotechnical Project Manager

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or Earth Science is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent training is necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license and personal transportation are required, with the ability to travel for site visits, meetings, data collection, and training. The extent of travel will vary based on project needs and may be significant.
  • For engineering candidates, Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required; Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure is encouraged.
  • Demonstrated involvement in ongoing education, professional societies, or leadership activities is expected (e.g., pursuing a Master’s degree, participating in Toastmasters).
  • Participation in industry conferences, technical functions, and professional organization meetings is encouraged. Engagement in client interest groups, mentor/protégé programs, or external professional committees is valued. Ability to prepare and deliver presentations, both internally and externally, as needed.

Other Key Requirements

  • Hybrid role working at least 3 days a week in the office.
  • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
