Senior Network Engineer- remote

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, design, and troubleshooting with hands-on experience in large-scale data center migrations and network optimization. This role will involve planning, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructure in multi-vendor environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Implementation:
oDesign, configure, and implement robust and secure networks using Cisco, Meraki, and Netscaler technologies.
oDevelop scalable network solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements.
oLead network integration projects, including new deployments and upgrades across various sites and data centers.
Data Center Migration:
oLead and execute end-to-end data center moves, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
oCollaborate with cross-functional teams (storage, server, and security) to ensure seamless transition during migrations.
oPerform detailed network assessments and develop migration strategies, including risk mitigation, cutover plans, and post-move validation.
Troubleshooting & Support:
oProvide advanced troubleshooting for network issues, ensuring rapid resolution and root cause analysis.
oServe as an escalation point for network incidents and problems across the organization.
oEnsure the network is optimized for performance and scalability.
Security & Compliance:
oImplement and maintain network security controls, including firewall rules, VPN configurations, and secure access policies.
oEnsure the network is compliant with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
Monitoring & Optimization:
oUse network monitoring tools to maintain network health, performance, and availability.
oConduct capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize network utilization and efficiency.
Documentation & Training:
oDocument network configurations, policies, and procedures.
oProvide training and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and support staff.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
oBachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
oMinimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.
oProven experience with Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls), Netscaler, and Meraki wireless infrastructure.
oDemonstrated experience leading data center moves/migrations.
Technical Skills:
oStrong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, etc.).
oExpertise in Cisco ASA/Firepower for firewall management.
oExperience with Citrix Netscaler (ADC) for load balancing and application delivery.
oFamiliarity with Meraki cloud-managed network devices and dashboard.
oExperience with network monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
oSolid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Certifications (Preferred):
oCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
oCitrix Certified Associate Networking (CCA-N) or Citrix Certified Professional Networking (CCP-N).
oMeraki Solutions Specialist.
