Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a skilled Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to perform foreign materiel exploitation (FME) of threat air defense and missile systems, including detailed system and subsystem analysis and reverse engineering, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, and test design and execution.

Parsons is a pioneer in complex FME projects, analysis, and reverse engineering, and this position is at the forefront of evaluating threat systems hardware. Job Description:

The individual will directly support task leads in the execution of complex FME projects, engineering analysis and testing, and providing technical and/or operational support to projects and programs.

Specific duties include...
  • Hardware analysis, subsystem-level test and evaluation of mechanical/aerospace/electromechanical systems, test design and data analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Limited (<5%) CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.

Required Clearance:
  • TOP SECRET//SCI preferred .

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field from an ABET accredited school with 2+ years of experience or an equivalent Master's degree and 0-2 years of experience.
  • Requires a fundamental understanding of mechanical and aerospace engineering concepts, particularly including mechanics, materials, guidance/navigation/controls, aerodynamics/flight dynamics, and liquid/solid propulsion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).
  • Must possess strong technical communication skills, be able to work both independently and in collaborative team environments, exercise good judgement, and be able to quickly adapt to new work assignments.
  • Ability to reverse-engineer mechanical systems, assemblies, and components, and conduct technical comparisons to previously analyzed hardware.
  • Ability to read and generate engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and functional block diagrams of components, subsystems, and complete systems.
  • Ability to organize and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
  • Ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical briefings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support interaction with a diverse technical team of Government and contractor personnel.

Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of air defense, missile, and radar systems highly desired.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
  • Experience with/proficiency in MATLAB for data analysis.
  • Experience with/proficiency in Siemens NX or other 3D CAD programs.

Salary Range:
$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
