Title: Medent EMR Application Analyst I

Job Description:

The Medent EMR Application Analyst I is responsible for communicating, collaborating and working to support clients on a day-to-day basis. The Medent EMR Application Analyst I primary goal is to manage all issues and enhancements for the client including break/fix, upgrades, system changes, and other ongoing system maintenance tasks, which can include system testing, troubleshooting, and issue management. Provide technical application(s) support across multiple environments with a primary focus on the Medent EMR/EHR software. Strong communication and teamwork skills are required, and a desire to continually help improve the user experience for our physicians and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs advanced troubleshooting for break/fixes as they relate to the Medent EMR.
  • Performs configuration & modification for system changes and enhancements on the Medent EMR.
  • Owns their portfolio of solutions by keeping abreast of enhancements, patches, and upgrades and ensuring that these are communicated to HTC leadership and implemented timely.
  • Demonstrates advanced Practice Management and Ambulatory workflow knowledge (Provider, Nursing, Front Office, Coder, and Ancillary staff, including lab, radiology, medication administration, ePrescribe, and other Orders workflows) and solution knowledge, in accordance with Cerner standards.
  • Experience collecting user requirements, translating to system feature enhancements, and requesting enhancements of a system administrator.
  • Adheres to change management process for break fix and any system changes.
  • Prepares for and provides regular project reviews and status updates.
  • Performs system testing to ensure that all product functions work as designed.
  • Maintain Exercise independent judgment to determine the appropriate course of action to be taken based on the analysis performed and all possible solutions.
  • Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Thorough knowledge on the Medent EMR software and all of its applications/modules.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Well-developed presentation skills.
  • Organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience building and maintaining the Medent EMR/EHR software.
