Job Title: Lab Technologist
Job Description
The main function of a Lab Technologist trainee is to perform complex medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. A typical Lab Technologist trainee usually reports to a biochemist or microbiologist. Responsibilities include analyzing laboratory findings to check the accuracy of results, analyzing samples of biological material for chemical content or reaction, and monitoring clinical trials for research organizations or internal research. The role also involves cultivating, isolating, and assisting in identifying microbial organisms, performing various tests on these microorganisms, and conducting clinical trials of pharmaceuticals. Additionally, you will enter data from the analysis of medical tests and clinical results into a computer for storage and operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Burlington, North Carolina.
Work Environment
Will be working in the immunoassay department, which is located in the large reference lab on LabCorp campus. You will be expected to be on your feet throughout the day and be comfortable going in and out of walk-in coolers to receive samples. Shift schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.
