Job description:

• Experience and Education:

  • 3 years of experience with a BS Degree in Computer Science or IT-related field.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

• Oracle DBA Expertise:

  • Proficient in Oracle DBA, specifically Oracle 12c and 19c.
  • Experience with various Oracle versions on Azure and on-premises environments.

• SQL and Performance Tuning:

  • Expert in SQL and performance tuning.

• Work Schedule:

  • Position requires working Wednesday through Sunday, with a lot of maintenance on Sunday.
  • Start time is 8 AM EST.

• Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Ansible and Unix scripting are a plus but not required.

• Database Design and Maintenance:

  • Designs, implements, and maintains databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
  • Maintains database dictionaries and integrates systems through database design.
  • Maintains and documents shell scripts and batch processes.

• Database Backup and Recovery:

  • Develops and applies procedures for periodic database backup.
  • Maintains database backup and recovery.

• Performance Monitoring and Security:

  • Monitors database performance and assists with database security.
  • Develops and implements techniques to prevent system problems, troubleshoots incidents to recover services, and supports root cause analysis.

• Technical and Functional Testing:

  • Validates, loads, tests, and verifies data.
  • Performs complete functional testing of database structures and verifies information provided in all environments including development, test, and production.

• Project Management Support:

  • Provides project management support regarding technical aspects of implementing project release upgrades.
  • Develops project plans, complete documentation, and coordinate appropriate actions for timely resolution.
