Backend Developer

• Optimize SQL queries for performance including use of indexes, partitioning, and other techniques to improve the performance of queries.
• Write complex SQL queries including using joins, subqueries, and other techniques to create queries that extract the desired data from databases.
• Troubleshoot and debug SQL problems including using profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and using error messages to identify errors in queries.
• Frontend development experience preference to candidates with React or Angular and Node.js
• Mentor junior staff and lead technical designs
• Ability to perform code reviews and recommend automated review tools for the project
• Ability to collaborate with the product, engineering, and business teams to understand the requirements that will form the core foundation for all the future products
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
• Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
• Project experience in working with Agile processes
• Knowledge of SDLC processes and use of application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA, etc.
