Role

The Implementation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring customer success and satisfaction with Kaplan Early Learning curricula, assessments, and professional development software solutions. This full-time position requires a forward-thinking, creative, and detail-oriented professional who will:

  • Establish and maintain excellent communication with new and renewing customers, including educators and administrators.
  • Guide customers through the implementation process, helping them realize the full value of our software solutions.
  • Develop and execute initiative-taking strategies to increase user adoption and customer retention.
  • Conduct user-research projects to gather insights and improve product offerings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Principal Accountabilities

Customer Success and Product Expertise

  • Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge to guide customers in realizing the full value of Kaplan Early Learning's offerings.
  • Manage the implementation and onboarding process for curriculum and assessment software, ensuring smooth transitions for new and renewing customers.

User Research and Data Analysis

  • Plan and conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests.
  • Assist in defining and refining user personas to enhance product development.
  • Interpret qualitative feedback and data to inform long-term product strategies.

Customer Retention and Growth

  • Develop and manage action plans based on customer analytics, usage patterns, and platform recommendations.
  • Identify potential churn risks and implement initiative-taking strategies to increase customer retention.
  • Support the RFP team's responses to bids, RFPs, adoption submissions, alignments and correlations.

Communication and Relationship Management

  • Provide consistent, high-quality communication throughout the implementation process.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, serving as their primary point of contact.

Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product features and user experience based on customer feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in early childhood education software.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Education degree preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience in early childhood education, focusing on developmentally appropriate curriculum, assessment, and professional learning products/services
  • Classroom teaching or administrative experience in education is highly desirable.

KNOWLEDGE And SKILLS

  • Strong familiarity with early childhood curriculum, assessment tools, and professional learning resources
  • Solid understanding of the early learning industry, including classroom dynamics, educational programs, curricula, assessments, and current trends in education
  • Experience with CRM solutions (e.g., HubSpot, PeopleSoft) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Office suite, Slack, Trello, and Outlook

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and delegate client inquiries effectively.
  • Superior writing, proofreading, and editing skills (writing sample required)
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, cross-functional departments, and end-users.
  • Basic design capabilities for creating presentations and branded materials (e.g., PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
