Job Title: Agile Business Systems Analyst
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Job Summary:
The Agile Business Systems Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements and system functionality. The role is heavily focused on Agile methodologies, ensuring effective story writing, sprint planning, and consistent communication with various teams. The successful candidate will ensure project deliverables are met on time, and business goals are translated into clear, actionable development tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and other Agile artifacts.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, developers, and project managers.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and project goals.
- Conduct data analysis and present findings to support project decisions.
- Manage backlog prioritization and refinement.
- Provide clear, concise documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst with a focus on Agile methodologies.
- Expertise in user story creation and requirements gathering.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Familiarity with election systems or government-related projects is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP (preferred).
