Tactical Procurement Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client located in Grand Rapids, MI is looking to add a Tactical Procurement Consultant to their team.

Responsibilities include:
* Tactical Procurement Consultant will improve material availability
* Identify improvement opportunities to improve supplier OTD, reduce LT, reduce inventory, etc.
* Accountable to department KPIs
* Work with global SIOP team to develop forecast for inbound materials
* Carry out risk mitigation plans to avoid production shortages in conjunction with procurement teams
* Monitor and expedite costs
* Improve utilization of SAP and other standard business tools within the tactical organization
* As a Tactical Procurement Consultant, you will make sure quality policy and objectives are being upheld in line with company policies for inbound materials; Leverage factory quality resources, supplier development teams to improve key quality matrix as needed
* Work safely and adhere to Compliance Policy

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10 plus years in material planning process, demand forecasting and inventory management
* Expert in materials management
* Experience in project-based manufacturing environment
* Must be a flexible and proactive problem solver
* Must be a strong communicator and possess strong organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple priorities at once
* Must be able to work well in high pressure, fast-paced environment and be proficient at conflict resolution
* Experience in dealing with international suppliers preferred
* Exposure SAP ERP, relevant report, and transaction preferred
* EPC experience a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
