SAP FICO Architect AFS exp

I had the chance to meet with Kim today at Wolverine and here is an update on everything.

• Wolverine has put their S/4 project on hold so that they can get Sweaty Betty onto their SAP systems.
• Sweaty Betty is more of a brick-and-mortar retail organization.
• Regular Stores
• Outlets
• Concessions (department stores carrying their brand)
• Kim has had turnover in the Finance and retail areas over the past few years and there are some gaps on the team they need help with
• She sent along the rates we gave them to Finance and is waiting for approval, got similar rates from competitors and they were in line with ours.
• Asked that all consultants be in EST time zone but can work remote.
• The full project is 12 months end to end.
• Entire project team is 140 people, her team of SAP people is 25 and they will all be involved.
• Architects will come in and validate all design.
• Senior resource will be more hands on and doing the configuration work.

• Expert level, 15+ years experience
• Best practice, Footwear/Apparel clients
• Extensive UK-based experience
• Approx 4 months to help us understand ideal state/template setup for Sweaty Betty EMEA stores (mostly UK)
• Concession, consignment, and travel retail (duty free) experience valued.
• Will work closely with Finance architect below.
• Start month - October.
• SAP Retail Senior
• Mid-Senior, 8-10 years experience
• Hands-on configuration role
• Approx 4 months (after the architect, overlap by one month for handoff)
• Start month - January.
• SAP Finance Architect
• Expert level, 15+ years experience
• Extensive UK-based experience, EMEA export, VAT, intrastate reporting
• Approx 4 months to help us understand ideal state/template setup for Sweaty Betty EMEA stores (mostly UK)
• Will work closely with Retail architect, above.
• Start month - October.

Sweaty Betty

Kim anticipates getting approval over the next week or two and then will officially release the requirements. I would call anyone you have in network who has the retail and apparel background and let them know that you will be getting some short-term needs soon. If you want to send me any candidates that is fine and we can have them ready to go.

• What specific SAP solutions are in scope for the Sweaty Betty project? i.e. ECC, AFS, IS-Retail? AFS, Retail, GTS, Ariba. The consulting we need is specific to IS-Retail.
• What sub-modules within those solutions are most important for the Retail Architect? i.e. SD, MM, WM? SD, MM, FI
• Would it be helpful for the Retail Architect to also have experience with more niche SAP products like CAR, OAA, POSDTA? No.
• Is Apparel/Footwear industry experience a MUST HAVE for the Finance Architect? Yes.
