  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We re looking for an AI Subject Matter Expert for an onsite role in Columbia, SC. If you re looking for a new opportunity, apply today!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of AI strategies that align with organization goals and objectives
  • Establish a robust AI validation and approval process for use cases and vendors, ensuring compliance across the state
  • Drive the adoption of standardized AI processes
  • Establish and lead an AI Center of Excellence for the state, setting standards, providing training, and promoting best practices
  • Provide guidance on AI direction, opportunities, and risks
  • Evaluate both closed-source and open-source AI capabilities
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in AI and Big Data

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience:
    • AI
    • Cloud platforms/environments
    • Leadership skills
    • Programming languages and scripting tools
  • Prior leadership role in AI and Big Data initiatives
  • Proven experience with establishing proof of concept success criteria and evaluating AI solutions against criteria
  • Proven track record of cross-functional enterprise-level coordination
  • Strong technical skills with hands-on experience in AI tools and platforms
  • Background in a variety of programming languages and principles
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and AI
Education/Certifications:
  • Advanced degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or related field

The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
