We have a job opening with a leading organization for kidney health and research! This company provides top tier physician care to patients facing kidney disease, supporting treatment plans for best quality of life. This position is with the largest nephrology physician practice in the US, housing over 170 physicians and nurse practitioners. Their demand is increasing and they are growing. Because of that, they are looking for a Triage Nurse to support their Fort Wayne clinical team. We are looking for a Registered Nurse that has practiced in specialty physicians groups and wants to apply that expertise to support the nephrology patients and physicians. Some tasks to expect with this role:

Daily Responsibilities

  • Support 6-7 physicians daily with incoming clinical calls and messages, which would be speaking to 30-40 patients per day (call times range)
  • Field calls as needed for best treatment support
  • Answer comprehensive clinical questions for patients regarding their treatment plans and physician orders
  • Build trust and rapport with patients and help them navigate the nephrology process

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE

  • Registered Nurse (Associates in Nursing, Bachelor in Nursing - either is accepted) is preferred, open to LPN
  • State or Compact Nursing License - Active and Current is preferred, but open to lapsed license
  • 2+ Years specialty clinic / Physician office experience
  • Positive Attitude and Self-Motivated
  • Team Player
  • Organized and strong communication

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in Nephrology, Kidney Dialysis, Cardiology
  • Triage experience preferred
