Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician Generalist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets in a food processing environment while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for all phases of the operation
  • Understand and utilize technical and training manuals effectively
  • Handle and distribute cleaning chemicals, maintaining accurate records
  • Complete assigned tasks as directed by the supervisor
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties in the department
  • Comply with safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements
  • Rotate through various positions as required
  • Possess proficiency in multiple skill clusters, including basic electrical, electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effective performance in this role

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of maintenance technician work experience documented in the work history section of the application OR graduation from an industrial maintenance training program
  • Combination of employers' experiences totaling at least 6 months will be considered
