The Box Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient collection and transportation of medical equipment from various locations to our facilities. - Operate a box truck to pick up medical equipment from customer locations.
- Safely load and secure medical equipment, ensuring it is protected during transportation.
- Safely drive a box truck to transport collected medical equipment to Tekyard's designated facilities.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations while driving.
- Maintain accurate records of collected medical equipment, including quantities and descriptions.
- Collaborate with the internal team to update inventory databases.
- Handle medical equipment with care to prevent damage during transportation.
- Utilize proper lifting techniques and safety measures to avoid accidents or injuries.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and Tekyard personnel.
- Report any issues, concerns, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties.
- Assist in sorting and categorizing medical equipment based on its condition and recyclability upon arrival at Tekyard's facility.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during equipment pickup and transportation.
- Frequent lifting and handling of heavy medical equipment are key aspects of this role.
- Driving a box truck is the primary responsibility of this position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a box truck driver is preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy medical equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of medical equipment handling is a plus.
