Job Purpose

The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

Duties

  • Provides administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; and maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Assist with payroll procedures and organization.
  • Creates New Hire and temporary employee files and regularly ensures paperwork is filed in the correct employee folder.
  • Creates labels, file folders, binders, checklists, and signs as needed.
  • Assists the HR department in creating employee wellness events, employee appreciation events, and annual managers meeting events.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including new hire orientation, review of employee handbook and benefits, and safety and facility orientations.
  • Assists Safety Administrator with creating and delivering PowerPoint slides and games for quarterly safety training meetings.
  • Performs candidate pre-screening and new hire employee verifications.
  • Participates in interviewing candidates for hire.
  • Creates, tracks, and reports on Employee Satisfaction Surveys
  • Ergonomic evaluations follow up, including ordering ergonomic supplies, delivering, and photographing newly installed ergonomic office equipment, and maintaining ergonomic files.
  • Responsible for Human Resources Meeting Minutes.
  • Assist in the planning, organization, implementation of payroll processes and procedures.
  • Assist in the administration of all payroll processing activities, payroll payments, quarterly and annual reports for Government regulatory agencies and payroll management reports.
  • Assist in the full cycle bi-weekly payroll processing in ADP, post auditing and submittal of all payroll accounting reports within the payroll scheduled deadlines.
  • Assist in serving as the primary contact for all benefit plans and annual open enrollment activities.
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Assist in overseeing the processing of monthly benefit billings for all group plans.
  • Assist in performing benefit plan audits, post open enrollment and all qualifying events for accurate payroll processing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • 1-3 years office experience required.
  • Administrative and customer service experience required
  • Self-motivated professional with a strong sense of discretion
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Eager to learn and assist all team members when needed
  • Must be highly organized and efficient in daily tasks
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk; must be able to occasionally bend, crouch or stoop
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
