Title: Accounting Analyst
Location: 55 East 52nd Street, Floor 17, New York, NY 10055
Duration: Until end of year and extendable
100% onsite initially during the training

MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required. A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting for a large company
Position will be onsite in the New York office. Once they are trained up there may be an opportunity to work remotely in a hybrid capacity (3 days onsite/2 days remote).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will be focused various account reconciliations required on a year to date basis in preparation for audit
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compile and analyze financial data for various P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
Identify variances and required correcting entries
Utilize various data sources to track transactions
Become familiar with GL accounting structure and impacted accounts for reconciliations
Work with internal finance teams to understand the coding and impact of certain transactions
Report findings and required entries to finance management team
REQUIREMENTS:
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to roll up your sleeves.
Ability to independently organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and reach conclusions for recommendations.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines while maintaining a high-quality product.
Detail oriented and strong analytical skills required.
Possess strong written and oral communication skills, decision-making and judgment.
Demonstrates accountability for personal work product.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics desirable, but not required
Must be proficient in MS excel including pivot tables, vlookups, and other data analysis tools
