Project Manager, Data Engineering Regulatory Program Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ months (possible extension/conversion)
This role focuses on managing technology projects within a regulatory program management team, particularly in the commodities and trade capital markets sector. The Project Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure end-to-end project management, compliance with regulatory timelines, and alignment with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in commodities, trade capital markets, and regulatory program management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage high-priority regulatory projects by identifying problems, analyzing requirements, and delivering projects within the timeline.
- Define project scope and objectives, gather and validate requirements, and ensure clear documentation aligned with regulatory mandates.
- Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to meet regulatory compliance in commodities and capital markets.
- Support governance of the Data Engineering Regulatory program, including preparing decks for meetings and coordinating project managers.
- Act as a representative in regulatory meetings, providing summaries and following up with stakeholders.
- Drive planning and corrective action implementation, ensuring key deliverables from various teams (technology, business, risk, etc.) meet regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, risks, and regulations related to commodities and trade capital markets that could impact project success.
- Implement controls to enhance the integrity of management reporting and identify risks, communicating mitigation strategies as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in project/program management, strategy development, and execution, especially within the commodities and trade capital markets sector.
- Strong knowledge of ETD (Exchange-Traded Derivatives) and OTC (Over-the-Counter) derivatives, and an understanding of different types of commodities (e.g., energy, metals, agriculture).
- Experience managing large, cross-functional projects in a financial industry setting, particularly in regulatory program management.
- Excellent communication skills for working with technical and business management teams.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and coordination abilities, able to work independently on concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Agile project management, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify gaps in project updates and operationalize strategies effectively.
Desirable:
- Expertise in Regulatory Program Management related to commodities and trade capital markets.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
