Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compensation Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for administering compensation programs, conducting research, and analyzing data to support the development of pay guidelines and market trends. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an intermediate level of knowledge in compensation practices and work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer pay guidelines and compensation programs.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare recommendations for position studies, offers, pay administration, bonus programs, and market trends.
  • Provide client coverage support for compensation associates or manage a business client group relationship.
  • Analyze non-standard or exception-based compensation actions (e.g., promotions, merits, transfers) and provide recommendations.
  • Offer guidance to HR and Talent Acquisition (TA) Business Partners on non-standard compensation situations.
  • Ensure pay equity by aligning practices with the company's pay philosophy and competitive market standards.
  • Lead or contribute to the development of educational materials and communication strategies for managers, HR partners, and associates regarding compensation initiatives.
  • Stay updated on external compensation trends and recommend their applicability to internal practices.
  • Conduct position studies, interview managers and associates for new and existing positions, and recommend appropriate grades and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports from HR systems and use data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) for research and analysis.
  • Identify actionable insights through data analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in cyclical compensation work such as market studies, survey analysis, annual bonus programs, and functional project work.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the common review process and system-related questions.
  • Conduct data preparation, testing, and audits throughout the compensation cycle.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in compensation analysis or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of pay administration, bonus programs, and market trend analysis.
  • Proficiency with HR systems and data visualization tools like Excel and Tableau.
  • Ability to conduct position studies and analyze compensation actions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to contribute to educational materials and collaborate with HR and TA partners.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and ensure compliance with pay philosophy and market standards.
  • Experience in preparing detailed reports and making data-driven recommendations.
