The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and directly contribute to the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and year-end process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity
  • Establish and ensure proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits with our CPA
  • Communicate with bank on financial reporting
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Coach and grow direct reports on the accounting team
  • Collaborate with cross functional team members to identify opportunities to improve operations and customer experience

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager or Controller
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping, GAAP, financial report writing, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience with cash management, accounts payable, and account receivable
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office, Excel shortcuts, accounting software, and databases
  • Working experience with Oracle Netsuite a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative approach to team work
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
