Senior Analyst of Operational and Financial Performance:

As our Senior Analyst of Operational and Financial Performance, you will be our hands-on expert on the health of our restaurants. You will be responsible to analyze multiple streams of unstructured data, create reporting/insights, find opportunities for process improvement, and develop innovative tools/solutions with the goal of providing actionable information to our restaurant teams and internal leadership. This role will be instrumental in building upon a mind-set of Accountability & Service across the Regional Restaurant teams, while also working closely with cross-functional internal and external partners, as a voice for Restaurant Operations.

We are looking for someone who is very familiar with emerging technology, including new methods of collecting and applying data insights. This individual must be passionate about the restaurant business and our brand.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager and the rest of the Ops Insights & Analytics team to provide Restaurant Operation Leaders with actionable insights of the day-to-day operations of both Restaurant and Brand performance.
  • Using the brand’s Operational principles & goals, identify and create business decision-making scorecards, models, tools, and forecasts that will drive performance in our restaurants.
  • Contribute to thoughtful and creative discussions with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on how to best leverage data and insights to drive strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to drive innovative improvements across all systems and data sources, including implementation of advanced analytic tools, processes, and interactive communication.
  • Reviews and provide input to better present analysis to Leadership, and Operations on key performance indicators, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Mitigate risks and communicate all issues, status updates, action items, and risks to the Leadership team.
  • Plans effectively and multi-tasks using time management and organization skills to achieve aggressive deadlines while setting priorities and maintaining organizational and filing systems.
  • Respond promptly to others to ensure open and timely communication.
  • Effectively lead team meetings, gaining feedback and decisions needed from cross functional partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally to support project owners in determining KPIs and metrics for initiatives, providing direction to meet objectives and goals.
  • Evaluating/recommending restaurant operational process and design standards
  • Partner with the technology team to set parameters for what data is needed and the method of collection.
  • Being a subject matter expert and providing support to our restaurant teams in diagnosing issues/challenging that may arise
  • Celebrate team achievements at an organizational level; tie those achievements into organizational Key Initiatives.

The Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of analyst experience providing support/solutions for “4-wall” financials & operations, ideally in restaurant or multi-unit retail business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, or relatable field.
  • Highly proficient knowledge of technologies & workforce management used in restaurant/retail industry.
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation, Excel, data-warehouse environments (SQL), statistics, other coding languages and Tableau/PowerBI experience a plus!
  • Able to manage large scale analytics projects with short timelines and high speed.
  • Extensive knowledge of restaurant/retail operations including analyzing P&L statements, labor management, inventory management, training, development, risk mitigation, and facilities
  • Proven Project management experience and attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to lead communications to all levels in the organization (Team Members to Executive team) through writing, video, PowerPoint.
  • Must-Have Technical Skills: Excel + PowerPoint (high competencies in both)
  • Must-Have Soft Skills: Grit, Positive Attitude, Self-Starter/Proactive, Intellectual Curiosity
  • Ability to travel at least once a quarter

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
