Position Overview

  • The Inventory Manager ensures all the daily tasks of the department get properly executed. As the head of the Inventory Department, this position requires a strong leader who can ensure all the dispensary’s back of the house areas and processes comply with local and state regulations. This role requires strong knowledge of all types of cannabis products and apparatuses available locally. The Inventory Manager will serve as the dispensary’s main point of contact for all cultivators/product vendors while ensuring all the corresponding invoices get properly processed and paid in a timely manner. Priorities include providing the AGM/GM with all departmental updates including employee performance, sales/product trends, and vendor relationships while ensuring all the employee needs are handled proactively




Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the site is in full compliance with all local and state laws while assisting with regulatory inspections
  • Work cross-functionally through the operation and maintain a hands-on “lead by example” approach
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed by all employees in the unit
  • Ensure all areas and workstations of the department are kept cleaned and organized
  • Provide the team with updates on all vendors, products/strains, and industry trends
  • Responsible for managing the dispensary’s product flow including orders, organization, inventory, and fulfillment
  • Ensure all inventory, purchasing, and financial reports are readily accessible/available
  • Implement and manage all Company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of the department’s employees
  • Create & maintain the department’s staff schedules
  • Delegate, manage, and empower the team to achieve an optimal performance
  • Align with the General Manager & Assistant General Manager to set, meet, and manage all financial and operational goals
  • Assist in any and all areas to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success




Qualifications

  • Retail experience, 3+ years (preferred)
  • Cannabis industry experience, 3+ years (preferred)
  • Inventory management experience, 2+ years (preferred)
  • Team building & management experience, 2+ years (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, time-management, planning, & organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, critical thinker, problem solver, & assessor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Active and valid government issued photo identification
  • 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire) in accordance with State law.

WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Work involves physical exertion such as bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), kneeling, squatting, pivoting, and carrying items/ product on a regular basis. Employees will be required to stand for extended periods and may need to climb ladders or operate equipment. The warehouse/ facility environment may be subject to hot and cold temperatures, and ventilation may not be available in all areas. The warehouse/ facility environment may be subject to elevated noise volumes due to equipment, machinery, and the movement of goods. The warehouse/ facility may be subject to dirt, dust, cleaning solutions, chemicals, and debris from the handling of goods. The warehouse/ facility may have safety hazards such as slippery floors, moving equipment, and the presence of hazardous materials. You will need to follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
