What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a Data Analyst to serve as the data and reporting champion to serve the needs of the Semi program. You will translate data into useful, easily digestible information that can quickly be translated into action via recommendations you will make. These reports and visuals will be used by many teams and leaders internally to get maximum utilization of the Semi, increase team efficiency, and provide insights to our customers, both internally and externally.

What You'll Do

  • Create compelling, succinct, and clear reports and visualizations to inform stakeholders, leadership, and Semi customers that can turned into action.
  • Support engineering requests to extract and evaluate data from vehicles to aid in trend analysis, component trials, and service opportunities.
  • Deliver data insights for charging network planning, customer duty cycles, and industry take rates
  • Create reporting for data obligations in various grant funded projects
  • Create automated reports on fleet performance and health
  • Coordinate with data engineering teams to establish data pipelines and verify data integrity
  • Write clean, tested code that can be maintained and extended upon by other analysts
  • Provide information to business development team and collaborate in customer facing materials
  • Review time-series data from vehicle logs


  • What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with Python and SQL
  • Self-motivated, fast learner capable of first principle thinking in an ever-changing data landscape
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI
  • Experience with time-series data, such as CAN, is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to provide insights and conclusions from large, dense datasets
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Expected Compensation

    $80,000 - $258,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
