Description
Position Purpose: As an Engineering Technician I, you will assist in providing technical and field support services, including construction observation, planning, organizing, and managing project tasks for our clients. This role involves working independently or under the direction of senior team members to ensure the successful completion of transportation projects.

Essential Functions
- Conduct technical and field support work independently or with direction from senior team members.
- Understand basic principles of field construction and engineering processes, procedures, and methods.
- Apply field observation and documentation practices necessary for individual project tasks.
- Read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Understand basic construction surveying practices.
- Provide quality control by reviewing work completed by other technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Utilize software associated with typical project requirements.
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology a related field or relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the transportation or civil engineering industry.
- Familiarity with construction surveying practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures.
- This position involves both office and fieldwork. Fieldwork may include exposure to various weather conditions and construction site environments.
- The role requires physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting equipment.
