This is an administrative position that provides advanced administrative support to a manager, Division Chief, or team/unit. This position requires considerable knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and the exercise of initiative, independent judgment and discretion in screening calls, visitors, and requests for information. New assignments are received in general outline and employees are expected to proceed with minimum supervision. This position provides oversight of the day-to-day operations of one or more specific areas of support staff responsibility. This position is not responsible for direct supervision.

Essential Position Functions

  • Serve as Human Resources Coordinator for the agency with direction from the Human Resources Officer.
  • Assist in preparation for CARF, MDHHS, and BHDDA site visits, NMRE entity reviews, and delegated functions as assigned, i.e., Board Member verification, and any related audits.
  • Responsible for recruitment of staff.
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through review of their resumes, phone screening, and other forms of communication.
  • Post all open positions internally on intranet, and externally.
  • Connects qualified candidates with hiring managers.
  • Participates in interviewing applicants when appropriate.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their application.
  • Counsels candidates on the interviewing and hiring process.
  • Monitor external job boards and applicant tracking systems and provide information to keep positions current.
  • Assist agency supervisors with workforce hiring processes including creating ads, scheduling interviews, and assuring proper paperwork is completed for new hires.
  • Network with outside entities in recruiting (job fairs, colleges, NMRE, etc.) for staff and interns.
  • Act as a liaison with new workforce members.
  • Create job descriptions for new hires and update job descriptions for position changes.
  • Work with potential workforce members to ensure paperwork is completed as needed for the hiring process.
  • Coordinate internships with qualifying departments.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientations.
  • Provide backup and be cross trained in all HR functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Associate degree and minimum of 2-years HR experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 1-year HR experience preferred.

PAY: $51,515 - $64,950
