Project Overview

The Project Coordinator will support Project Managers (PMs) on capital projects. Responsibilities include governance, reporting, and providing information to enable effective management decision-making. Both waterfall and agile project delivery approaches may be utilized.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple projects and lead small projects as assigned.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business and IT to support the PM.
  • Support IT workstream and documentation of projects via IT PMO processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Monitor project schedules and deliverables, track progress, and report updates to the project/program manager.
  • Identify issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Coordinate projects under the supervision of the project manager.
  • Utilize IT project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) to drive technical solution delivery.
  • Assist in fulfilling requirements for the IT PMO and IT Governance processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams, various IT teams, and related business units.
  • Promote communication between team members and stakeholders; manage expectations.
  • Prepare correspondence, presentations, and reports as required.

Skills

  • Familiarity with the software development process and IT project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including leading daily standups, vendor management, and presenting project data.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, solve problems, and work effectively in an agile environment.
  • Superior interpersonal skills to foster communication across project teams.
  • Proven track record of successful project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint (M365). PowerBI and DevOps skills are desirable.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelors Degree in business or a technical field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience, including successful coordination of IT projects in a matrixed environment.
