Position Overview: They are seeking a Sr. Consultant, Payer Marketing & Market Access to join our dynamic team. This remote-based role will play a key part in delivering strategic guidance and market access insights to pharmaceutical clients. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize payer marketing strategies that support pharmaceutical products' success in competitive marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute payer marketing strategies for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients to optimize market access and reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand and influence market dynamics, payer landscapes, and policy changes.
  • Lead the development of value propositions, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies tailored to payer and health system audiences.
  • Drive insights through data analysis and market research to inform payer segmentation and strategic recommendations.
  • Engage with pharmaceutical clients to deliver actionable recommendations and thought leadership on payer trends, reimbursement challenges, and access strategies.
  • Support the creation of high-quality materials including presentations, white papers, and marketing collateral.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and assist in growing Optum's market access consulting services.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working directly for one or more pharmaceutical companies
  • 2+ years of experience in Payer Marketing, Market Access, and/or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects with multiple project stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and influence senior professionals and subject matter experts
  • Willing to travel at least 10% of the time (on average)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
