Prairie Barns Construction LLC is seeking a **Remote Project Manager Assistant** to support our growing construction business. This individual will play a key role in assisting the project manager with daily operations, managing materials, budgets, and vendor coordination for post-frame construction projects. - Attend pre-sale meetings to assess client needs and ensure project vision is captured.
- Perform material takeoffs and estimate materials from client sketches and plans.
- Use Smart Build Post Frame design software to design basic barns and structures.
- Ensure project budgets account for materials, labor, equipment, site facilities, and mobilization costs.
- Monitor project job costs and provide updates to the project manager.
- Create work orders and purchase orders for approved projects.
- Enter vendor bills into Jobtread and reconcile them with budgeted costs.
- Assist with daily tasks, including material orders, equipment scheduling, and site coordination.
- Compile post-project reports to identify budget discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, especially in post-frame construction and residential houses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Experience in construction estimating and project coordination.
- Familiarity with Smart Build Post Frame design software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with a professional and courteous manner.
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 AM 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM 5:00 PM
- Two 15-minute breaks (9:45 AM and 2:30 PM) and a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM 1:00 PM.
- $25 per hour to start
