Overview

The successful candidate will report directly to Phalcon’s CLO and work closely with other senior leadership to support, assist and coordinate risk management operations at Phalcon. The candidate will have an opportunity to excel and demonstrate their energy and positivity in this role.

Activities / Responsibilities:

  • Support in-house counsel and Phalcon leadership in day-to-day business needs
  • Review client contracts for Proposal Development team and identify risks and propose strategies to mitigate. Align proposal responses with business objectives, offering and supporting risk mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Align vendor agreements with prime contract requirements
  • Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist in-house counsel monitoring and guiding outside counsel relationships.
  • Assist in contract development with in-house counsel for service providers, suppliers, vendors and subcontractors and monitor organization adherence to developed standards
  • Maintain purchase order and contract templates and guidelines. Train and assist operations in the use of company issued subcontracts. Administer updates in the company’s learning management system
  • Ensure adherence to company guidelines and legal requirements
  • Assist in supporting Operations teams ongoing efforts to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Maintain lease agreements and milestone information
  • Provide suggestions to increase operational efficiency and consistency
  • Interface with all levels of the Phalcon organization, as well as with external customers in a professional context and approach
  • Monitor compliance with general and administrative laws and regulations. (Licensing, Permits, etc.)
  • Support and advise human resources

Requirements

  • Position will be located at our offices at 132 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington, CT (no remote option)

Skills

  • Understanding of construction process, construction contracts, and construction project accounting

  • Strong analytic skills, including interpreting statutes and regulations and technical procedures.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, construction, accounting, legal, or related industry
  • Familiarity with proposal development and project management
  • Familiarity with sourcing. Developing requests for quotations and proposals
  • Command of the Microsoft O365 Suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams, as well as proficiency with BlueBeam.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
