The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s dining facilities. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive dining experience for guests. The Food & Beverage Manager coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth operations and achieve financial and operational goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guests receive outstanding service, address complaints or issues promptly, and maintain a welcoming dining atmosphere
  • Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff, including cocktail servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage scheduling
  • Oversee daily food and beverage operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to food and beverage operations, including labor costs and food and beverage costs. Prepare reports on financial performance and implement strategies to enhance profitability
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to design and update menus, ensuring offerings are appealing and meet guest expectations
  • Develop and implement promotional activities to attract guests, such as special events, and partnerships with local businesses
  • Ensure high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and service.
  • Conduct regular inspections and address any issues
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, gather feedback, and make improvements based on suggestions and reviews
  • Work closely with the hotel's front desk, hotel sales team, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and coordinate special events or group bookings


Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required


Education and Expertise:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management, with experience in a hotel setting being a plus
  • Food Handlers Certification/TABC Certified
  • Result driven and team oriented
