Job Description:

As a Financial Analyst in our Project Management department, you will play a critical role in forecasting and analyzing financial data for various projects. Your primary responsibilities will include running reports, refreshing pivot tables, and performing detailed analysis to support effective project management and financial planning. You will work closely with field teams to ensure data accuracy and provide insights into project financials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Download and process data from Oracle into Excel files, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reporting: Run and refresh reports from Corta; update and maintain pivot tables to reflect current project data.
  • Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and anomalies; prepare comprehensive reports to support project forecasting and decision-making.
  • Communication: Coordinate with field teams via email, Teams, or phone calls to confirm data accuracy and gain insights into project statuses.
  • Data Formatting: Convert raw data into readable formats; help layer data to understand variances and project financial health.

Requirements:

  • Excel Expertise: Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, v-lookups, and data manipulation.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and produce actionable insights.
  • Project Management Knowledge: Some experience or understanding of construction project management, including familiarity with the construction cycle from permitting to completion.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and interact effectively with team members and field staff.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a financial analyst or in a similar role is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle systems.
  • Background in construction or project management finance.
