TITLE: Tableau Developer
LOCATION: Remote
ANTICIPATED DURATION: Contract to Perm (no sponsorship)

Tableau Developer Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and support mission-critical enterprise business intelligence dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document reporting requirements to meet business needs.
  • Use Tableau and SQL to create and maintain reports and dashboards, drawing data from the organization's data warehouse.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through established quality control techniques.
  • Provide technical assistance and cross-training to other team members and offer support for existing and new dashboards and reports.
  • Lead training sessions, both web-based and on-site, for end-users on relevant reports and dashboards.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to ensure timely project delivery, using strong interpersonal communication skills.

Tableau Developer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics.
  • 4-6 years of experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards.
  • Strong expertise with Tableau (4-6 years) and SQL (4-6 years).
  • Experience in retail or healthcare sectors (4-6 years).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for project-based collaboration.
  • Ability to manage and adjust to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Tableau Developer Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Tableau Desktop Certified Professional certification and SQL certification.
  • Experience with User Experience Design (UXD) and User Interface Design (UID).
  • Programming/scripting experience with SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Familiarity with data integration issues, validation, and cleaning complex data sets.
  • Experience with R, Python, or ArcGIS is a plus.
