Summary:
We are currently looking for a well-organized, highly motivated Proposal Writer. Ideal candidates should have strong experience in the US Government bid and proposal process. The Proposal Writer in collaboration with the team will seek out and respond to various proposals and bids, including request for proposal (RFP), request for information (RFI), and Vendor Questionnaires, among others. The Proposal Writer must interpret the RFP document requirements and compile a persuasive and compelling response that meets the needs of the RFP and addresses all questions and topics. In addition to responding to RFPs, the Proposal Writer will be responsible for uncovering new RFPs, tracking and reporting on proposal success rates, and gathering feedback. This role will work closely with the Management team and Business Development team.

Responsibilities:
Manage, write and lead the entire proposal process from reviewing/shredding the RFP for compliance/bid; no-bid decision till submission
Act as the central point of contact on proposals and coordinate proposal responses in formal process with business development teams/management
Guide the work of the cross-functional teams to ensure all deadlines are met, and the proposal package meets all bid requirements.
Attend pre-proposal meetings and/or conference calls as needed
Manage correspondence/submittals throughout the RFP process
Coordinate proposal responses in formal process with sales teams/management
Write and proofread proposals to ensure accuracy, branding, quality of writing, and focus
Continuously update RFP files & content repository with current information
Prepare complex proposal outlines
Work with partner organizations to define proposal process across brands (and when cross-selling opportunities arise)
Produce and edit high-quality proposals within required timeframes

Knowledge and Education:
10 or more years of experience in the US government (Federal/State/Local) proposal process.
Experience working as an overall bid team member, including business development, program management, finance, contracts, and technical staff.
Deep understanding of government regulations related to developing and negotiating cost proposals (FAR, DFARS, CAS, TINA).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (examples: creating spreadsheets, formulas, formatting, pivots, etc.)
Knowledge of creating/formatting graphics needed for response
Strong organizational skills to manage time and prioritize workload.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of related work experience. An advanced degree is a plus.
