Job Title:Senior Financial Fund Accountant

Location: Remote

Duration /Term: Contract

Responsibilities

  • The role will be primarily responsible for administration of a portfolio of Funds, including providing investors and corporate services as necessary. The role holder will be responsible for the preparation and timely delivery of Net Asset Values (NAVs), preparation of financial statements, reporting and fund accounting.

Preferred qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in an Associate role is a must. Previous experience in a middle/back office in Financial services firm of 5 to 7 years is required.

Job Responsibilities & Preferred skills

  • Strong understanding of financial products like Bonds, Mutual Funds, MBS, SWAPS, Equities, etc.
  • Responsible to prepare the NAVs of the Mutual fund belongs to clients on a daily/Monthly basis.
  • Prepare Cash/Position/Market Value Reconciliations and resolving breaks. Notify Clients/CSMs of valid breaks. If break is due to an erroneous or missing transaction in accounting system, then make necessary adjustments.
  • Reviewing pricing of the portfolio and analyzing the pricing exceptions if any.
  • Reviewing the corporate actions booked in the system and ensuring that the same is correctly reflected in the books. Dividends/Interest Reconciliation with Broker reports
  • Responsible for accruing/amortizing daily or monthly non-security related Fee accruals including management fees and financing accruals.
  • Checking that all OTC products traded by the client have been booked correctly.
  • Booking of Capital Activities of the fund.
  • Finalizing the month end NAV of the client and providing Investor Level Allocation reports at month-end.
  • Providing support in Audits for funds in the preparation on financial statements. Complete audit reviews and ensure identified issues are documented and tracked to closure.
  • Coordinating with Internal/External Stake holders such as Securities/Trades and Pricing Team, Reporting Team, Investor Services team, Auditors, Client Service Managers and Clients.
  • Understanding around business transitions and required documentation will have added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel is required.
  • Candidate should have exposure around audits (internal and external) and strong understanding around Risk and Control framework.
  • Establish strong relationship with onshore counterparts such as custodians, brokers and client trading desks and should be capable of handling Onshore Queries and Issues.
  • Experience of applications like Global Plus, AddVantage & Trust Desk applications would have added advantage.
