We are looking for a WordPress Developer and Platform Subject Matter Expert who can take our WordPress projects to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites. You will bring a broad range of experience, including the development of templates, themes, design patterns, and plugins, with a strong focus on best practices in PHP. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement complex features, maintain high-performance standards, and ensure the stability of the WordPress platform. Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines is a plus and will help you contribute to our streamlined development and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.
Serve as the subject matter expert on the WordPress platform, providing guidance and recommendations to the team.
Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to create a seamless user experience.
Optimize website performance, ensuring speed, scalability, and security best practices.
Develop custom design patterns and reusable components for various WordPress projects.
Integrate third-party APIs and tools to enhance site functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance problems.
Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and best practices.
Manage version control using GitLab, with experience in CI/CD pipelines being an advantage.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects.
Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Extensive experience developing WordPress themes, templates, design patterns, and plugins.
Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices.
Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Knowledge of SEO best practices for web development.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and user experience.
