  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Google Cloud Platform Systems Admin/SME Location 100% remote
Contract Duration - September 2024 December 31, 2024 with strong possibility of an extension

Working Hours - Must be available to work 8:00 - 5:00 PM CT or MT (along with after-hour, weekend, and on-call support).

Note - This role requires after-hours, weekends, and on-call support. which iso ne week every third week, 24x7, Monday through Sunday.

This Google Cloud Platform Systems Administrator will be part of the IT Operations Business Intelligence team. This individual will provide production administration in a complex application and Google Cloud Platform environment. The position is purely focused on Production Support ETL, DB, Monitoring and Alerting, Dashboard Design.

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 to 6 years of equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • System administration experience using Google Cloud Platform services, with an emphasis on logging, monitoring, and dashboards.
  • Experience with providing production support for ETL, DB, Monitoring and Alerting, and Dashboard Design.
  • Must have clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to integrate within a diverse team of varying skillsets and personalities.
  • Must be a subject matter expert in the following technologies:
    • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
    • ETL Technologies:
      • Cloud Composer
      • DataFlow
      • Airflow
      • DAGs
    • Database Technologies:
      • Google Storage
      • BigQuery
      • Spanner
    • Monitor and Alert Technologies:
      • Stack Driver
      • Logs, Alerts
      • Monitoring
    • Dashboard Technologies:
        • Looker Studio
        • Grafana
        • Prometheus
        • Dynatrace (can have intermediate skills)
  • Intermediate skills with the following technologies:
    • GIT
    • Terraform L2
  • Intermediate level development experience in an operations role
  • Experience (working knowledge) with GKE (Kubernetes) and MicroServices
  • Experience (working knowledge) with the following technologies:
    • SQL
    • Linux/Unix command line
    • Python
    • Java
