Desktop Compliance Analyst


A top financial institution is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated analyst with primary responsibilities supporting audit and risk compliance, governing new software, and rationalizing applications. Desktop Governance & Compliance ensures that our client's wide-ranging end-user computing environment maintains operational efficiency and stability in a secure technical environment.


About the Opportunity:



  • Remote, however candidates must be geographically close to Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or San Diego, CA.

  • Hours: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm EST


Responsibilities:


The Desktop Compliance Analyst will be responsible for:



  • Performing audit and risk management for the desktop platform, i.e., elevated workstation administrator access, restricted software, and desktop standards and policies.

  • Evaluating requests for new and upgraded desktop and virtual software. Perform business and technical evaluations; validate against the asset inventory, technology, and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborating with the Desktop Governance Board, Architecture Review Board, and other governing bodies regarding new technology.

  • Evaluating data and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel pivot tables and other tools and models; Present findings using presentation tools, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, and similar reporting tools.

  • Support Records Information Management and file plan maintenance.

  • Support efforts to improve Unauthorized Software Control processes and reporting.

  • Build effective relationships with team members, management, and key stakeholders.

  • Recommend, develop, and maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures.

  • Support documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and records migration from Sharepoint to Microsoft 365.

  • Ensure compliance with Navy Federal Credit Union Information Security and Enterprise Technology Service standards and best practices.

  • Support the establishment of new processes to automate and streamline existing manual processes to improve efficiency.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Working knowledge of asset management, MECM/SCCM platform, ServiceNow, MS Office suite, and other related tools and technologies.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills in writing technical and end-user documentation.

  • Experienced in supporting and facilitating risk and compliance audits, including progress tracking, status reporting, and the collection of artifacts.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute.

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills using pivot tables and other related tools and reporting.

  • Experienced in project management and meeting facilitation.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills when presenting findings, conclusions, and other information to various audiences.

  • Experienced in guiding and mentoring others.

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to hit the ground running.

  • Diplomatic in exchanging information and addressing sensitive issues.
