Location: Madison, WI (Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. 100% remote in the State of Wisconsin. This position could change to 100% on-site in the future)

Description:
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst with the Web application focus.
Tasks
This role has the responsibility supporting the analysis and documentation of asset inventories for existing software and systems, with an emphasis on existing web applications.
This role will be assisting with system transformation efforts ensuring that business processes are properly mapped to supporting system assets, applications, data sets, interfaces, batch processes, and reports. When inventories are identified, this role will work with subject matter experts, SME s, from the business and technology teams to document links between the assets and business processes.
Additionally, this role may be asked to work with SME s to document important meta data associated with the assets that will streamline system transformation from existing mainframe based systems to a web based system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Good oral and written communication skills are required
Skills Required
10+ years - Experience with business systems analysis.
10+ years. - Experience documenting complex business and software systems
Demonstrated communication experience, working with business and technical teams.
Experience with WebSphere
Experience with GIT
Experience creating and maintaining architecture diagrams.
Web application development experience in Java or .NET
Web service development experience SOAP and/or REST
Skills Desired
Familiarity with source code repository tools to aid in discovery of interfaces utilized by web application systems.
Tech Writing, with an emphasis on communicating between the business and technical needs of a cross functional project team.
Ability to understand, update and create process diagrams in Visio.
