Element6's client in the greater Milwaukee area is looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst to join their team on a contract hybrid basis (once a week onsite). The Senior Applications Analyst is a pivotal team member dedicated to supporting critical business-facing applications, including core banking and other enterprise systems. With a customer-centric mindset, this role ensures seamless IT service delivery to enhance the productivity of the company's associates and members. As part of an application support team, the Analyst acts as a systems expert, collaborating with end users, infrastructure, and development teams. Reporting to the Manager, Software Operations, the Analyst is instrumental in maintaining operational excellence.
Principal Accountabilities:
Efficiently manage support issue intake, triage, and resolution, adhering to service level agreements.
Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal configuration, security, and updates of assigned applications.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applications and integrations, pursuing continuous training and certifications.
Engage in software lifecycle discussions, proposing enhancements and identifying opportunities for long-term technology planning.
Advocate for process improvements in software maintenance, identifying automation opportunities.
Oversee vendor support cases, ensuring timely resolution.
Lead application testing and implementation during change processes.
Proactively identify and address issues, escalating when necessary.
Provide secondary support for all enterprise applications, including those integrated with core banking and custom solutions.
Develop scripts and routines to enhance application stability and automation.
Participate in on-call rotations, responding promptly to emergency situations and performing maintenance tasks outside of regular hours.
Maintain precise documentation and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least 6-8 years of professional experience in an application support role.
Experience with ITIL-based change, request, and incident management processes, or a similar IT service methodology.
Proficiency in supporting applications on Windows Server operating systems and cloud-hosted applications.
Understanding of basic network configurations for application issue resolution.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
Comprehensive knowledge of company policies and adherence to relevant state and federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with core banking software, Fiserv DNA preferred, including application support and integration.
Familiarity with various API integration methods, such as REST and SOAP.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, VBScript, Bash).
Competency in SQL databases, including query writing for data analysis and performance troubleshooting.
