Job Title: PMO Project Manager
Job Summary: Oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Digital, Strategy, and Technology (DST) Department. Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, acting as the primary interface to the Project Sponsor and/or Project Steering Committee.
Hiring Managers Ideal Candidate: Dynamic individual with solid project management fundamentals, strong leadership skills, and the ability to implement change. This individual will help mature our project management office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise PMO operations and staff (eight PM's), providing guidance, mentorship, and training
- Ensure successful delivery of projects on scope, budget, and schedule
- Lead project teams in a matrix organization
- Identify and address gaps in Project Management practices
- Develop and maintain project documentation, schedules, and budgets
- Conduct requirements gathering and maintain a requirements traceability matrix
- Coordinate and lead project meetings, documenting decisions and mitigation plans
- Manage contracts, resources, risks, and change requests
- Develop and execute communication and stakeholder management plans
- Ensure project quality standards are met and communicate progress to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, computer science, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8 years of project management experience
- 4 years of leadership experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Licenses/Certificates:
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
- PMP Certification
