Information Security Analyst

The Department of Child Services is seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to monitor and audit systems that handle confidential information. The analyst will work closely with the Security Manager to identify and mitigate risks, monitor systems for inefficiencies, and assist with audits and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report on information security, identifying problem areas and recommending solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess security needs and provide training.
• Assist with federal and state security audits and remediation (e.g., IRS, SSA, OCSE, FBI).
• Develop and enforce security policies in line with federal guidelines and standards (NIST SP 800-53).
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security policies.
• Implement security software enhancements and remediation measures.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with security standards.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of information security management tools and policies.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to information security and privacy.
• Experience with software vulnerabilities, scanning tools, and remediation processes.
• Security certifications such as CISSP preferred.
• Familiarity with network administration and cloud security is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Degree in Information Security or a related field preferred.
