ummary:

The Contigo Epic Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrations and interfaces between Epic and other healthcare applications using the Contigo integration engine. This role requires a strong understanding of both Epic and Contigo, as well as healthcare data standards and integration best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Interface Development: Develop, configure, and test interfaces using Contigo to facilitate the exchange of data between Epic and other systems (e.g., lab systems, radiology systems, patient portals).

Data Mapping: Map data elements between Epic and external systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during transmission.

HL7 Expertise: Deep understanding of HL7 messaging standards and their application in healthcare integrations.

Troubleshooting and Support: Monitor interface performance, troubleshoot errors, and provide ongoing support for Contigo-related issues.

Collaboration: Work closely with Epic analysts, application teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementations.

Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of interface specifications, data mappings, and testing procedures.

Stay Current: Keep abreast of new developments and best practices in Contigo, Epic, healthcare integration, and data standards.

Qualifications:

Epic Certification: Epic certification in one or more relevant modules (e.g., Bridges, ADT/Prelude) is highly preferred.

Contigo Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in using Contigo for interface development, configuration, and testing.

HL7: Deep understanding of HL7 messaging standards (v2.x, v3, FHIR) and their implementation in healthcare integrations.

Interface Engine Experience: Experience with other interface engines (e.g., Cloverleaf, Rhapsody) is a plus.

Scripting/Programming: Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for data transformation and manipulation.

Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex integration issues.

Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Healthcare Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare workflows, data standards, and regulatory requirements.
