YOUR Why

As part of the Portfolio Analysis team, you will have responsibilities for performance reporting, portfolio analysis, and private investment valuation oversight, and will play a critical role in advancing the performance reporting infrastructure. This role will work cross-functionally across the organization, and will have the opportunity to work across asset teams to develop dashboards, synthesize data and develop narratives. This is not just an analysis role; you will have the opportunity to present your findings regularly to senior management. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in finance, data science, multi-asset investment strategies, and impactful, meaningful work.

How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and build new reporting infrastructure in Power BI, optimizing the end-user experience and ensuring the ongoing maintenance of these reports.
  • Train and mentor team members in technical concepts (e.g., SQL, Power BI) to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships within the organization and externally to effectively address business needs.
  • Learn the firm's existing performance and portfolio reporting infrastructure. Develop skills and understanding of portfolio data, including sources, potential errors, and correction techniques. Identify and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Partner with internal teams to enhance the firm's data quality control environment.
  • Identify and explain shifts in asset allocation and portfolio metrics. Provide market and portfolio insights and contribute topic ideas for client meetings.

What YOU Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Progress toward a CFA designation or MBA is a plus.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in performance reporting, portfolio analysis, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to maintain high accuracy and attention to detail with a low tolerance for errors.
  • Experience working with large data sets and the ability to explain the underlying story behind the numbers.
  • Excellent quantitative, research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Humble and flexible with a strong personal interest in markets and the institutional investment process.
  • Working knowledge of multi-asset class portfolios is preferred. Familiarity with Bloomberg, iLevel, and BlackRock's suite of portfolio reporting tools is preferred.
