Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated intern to edit, simplify and consolidate current organizational policies, standards, and procedures (governance documents), in alignment with the Fannie Mae s policy governance framework.

Objectives of this role:
Ensure modified governance documents meet Fannie Mae s policy governance framework requirements and optimization guidelines.
Gain understanding of governance document content (objective, requirements, risks, controls and processes) and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.
Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement based on policy governance framework requirements and optimization guidelines.
Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Policy Center of excellence to understand Fannie Mae s documentation requirements and optimization guidelines.
Gather information from subject-matter experts to organize, outline, consolidate and edit policies, standards, and procedures to adhere to current documentation standards.
Document content for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation.
Report on all governance document revisions, updates, and deletions

Required skills and qualifications:
3 or more years of related experience in Policy, Legal, or technical writing
Risk management practice experience; prior experience in Audit, Compliance or Enterprise Risk Management
Great command of the English language
Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Good organizational skills
Experience in writing documentation and procedures for various audiences

Preferred skills and qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent
Experience in policy governance administration
